Design

Steel or Aluminium planerhead with resharpenable HS or HW reversible resharpenable knives positioned by form-locking knife clamping system.

Technical information

The VariPlan clamping system clamps new and resharpened knives in position automatically to a constant cutting circle.
As the clamping wedge is positioned behind the cutting edge the wedge is protected from dirt. Reduced noise level from the closed design.

Chip removal

Softwood: up to 10,0 mm. Hardwood: up to 8,0 mm.

2 to 4. 1,0 mm resharpening area with 2 cutting edges per sharpening cycle.

Note
– For fine finish planing, cutterheads can be supplied with a reduced distance between the chip breaker and cutting edge for a chip removal of up to 0,8 mm.

– The VariPlan clamping system clamps new and resharpened knives in position automatically to a constant cutting circle.

– Depending on the machine, the knives can be inserted axially or radially allowing removal of the knives on the machine.
