If you are in an environment where there are several wireless networks you may see several different wireless networks on this screen. Select the appropriate wireless name and click "Next". If you are not sure which wireless network to select, please speak to your system administrator.
If you do not see your wireless network, click the "Refresh" button to re-discover the wireless networks within your environment. If you are still unable to see any wireless networks and you are sure that the network name (SSID) name is not hidden please check the following:
|
|
-
Make sure that your wireless printer/multifunction device is switched on
-
Try moving you wireless print/multifunction device closer to the access point or your computer
-
(Only applicable to users who are not using a USB cable to configure their wireless printing device). You may wish to temporarily disable any firewall software that may be running on your computer as it may be preventing your computer from discovering any wireless networks. If you choose to temporarily disable your firewall, you may wish to disconnect your Access Point from the Internet to prevent any security vulnerabilities to your computer.
|
|
If you have configured your access point to hide its SSID name you must manually enter the network name by clicking the "Advanced" button.
Please note: the wireless signal strength is the signal strength between the printer/multifunction device and the access point that is communicating with. It is not the wireless signal strength between your computer and the access point.
