E-mail a document
- Load an original face up in the ADF.
- Touch the E-mail button on the home screen.
- Touch the blank From field to display a keypad. Enter your email address.

- Touch the Speed Dial Name field.
- Input a name using the keypad provided; then touch OK.
- Touch the Fax Numbers field.
- Input a number using the keypad provided; then touch OK.
- Touch OK.
- The speed dial name and number appear next to the desired speed dial code button.
- Repeat these steps to create other speed dials.
Send a fax to multiple recipients
- Touch the Fax button on the home screen.
- Touch the Fax Recipients field and use the pop-up keypad to input a fax number; then touch OK.
- Touch the down arrow next to the Fax Recipients field to insert the fax number into the send list.
- Follow steps 2 and 3 to add additional numbers.
- Touch the Send Fax button to send the fax.
Send a fax to multiple recipients (using speed dials)
- If you have Speed Dials set, touch the Fax
button on the home screen and then simply touch the speed dial buttons
of the numbers you wish to include in the send list. They then

Add addresses to the email address book

Send to multiple recipients using the address book

- If the email address entered is being used for the first time on the MFP, an Add to Local address book screen appears asking if you would like to add the address to the address book. Select Yes to add the address to the address book.

- Touch a name in the email address list; then touch the right-facing arrow to enter the email address into the To list.
- Repeat this step to move additional email addresses from the email address list to the To list.
- When all desired email addresses are in the To field, touch OK.

View and modify supplies status (Paper type) —

Unpack the replacement formatter. |

Install any applicable hardware features on the replacement formatter. |

Align the formatter with the guide runners inside the product and push firmly on the right side of the formatter until it clicks into place. |

Tighten the thumb screws. |
10. |
Reconnect the power cable and interface cables, and turn the product on. |

Hard drive |

Turn the product off. |
2. |
Disconnect all cables connected to the formatter. |
3. |
Loosen the thumb screws at the top and bottom of the formatter and pull the formatter straight out. |
4. |
Squeeze the tab and slide the hard drive toward the cable assembly. |
5. |
Disconnect the cable assembly from the hard drive. |
6. |
Discard the old hard drive. |
7. |
Unpack the replacement hard drive. |
8. |
Connect the cable assembly. |
9. |
Place the replacement hard drive in the hard drive cradle and slide it so that the tabs on the rails lock into the cradle. |
10. |
Align the formatter with the guide runners inside the product and push firmly on the right side of the formatter until it clicks into place. |
11. |
Tighten the thumb screws. |
12. |
Reconnect the power cable and interface cables, and turn the product on. |

Fax card |
 |
Note: This product
uses a different fax card than previous products. It is no longer
plugged directly into the formatter board. Instead, it is held in a
cradle and a data cable connects the card to the formatter board. |

Turn the product off. |
2. |
Disconnect all cables connected to the formatter. |
3. |
Loosen the thumb screws at the top and bottom of the formatter and pull the formatter straight out. |
4. |
Disconnect the data cable from the fax card. |
5. |
Flex the large tab at the back end of the fax card and lift the card up to remove. |
6. |
Discard the old fax card. |
7. |
Unpack the replacement fax card. |
8. |
Position the replacement card so that the RJ-11 port is aligned with the hole in the formatter I/O shield. |
9. |
Press the fax card down to snap it into place. |
10. |
Connect the data cable to the fax card. |
11. |
Align the formatter with the guide runners inside the product and push firmly on the right side of the formatter until it clicks into place. |
12. |
Tighten the thumb screws. |
13. |
Reconnect the power cable and interface cables, and turn the product on. |
