Installation Help

=================

Important Note: This driver will only run on Windows 2000.

The Intense3D IntenseDrv Display Driver supports the Intense3D Wildcat

4000 and 4105 as well as the Intense3D RealiZm display adapters on Pentium,

Pentium Pro, Pentium II and Xeon workstations. This driver will not run on

any machine which does not have PCI backplane hardware. Some display adapters

have been designed to work specifically in the AGP port instead of the PCI

bus.

Additionally, the machine must have 3.3 volts on the PCI bus (for those

adapters that plug into the PCI bus) and provide support in the BIOS for

VGA behind a PCI bridge.

Supported Products

------------------

This driver supports the following Intense3D line of display adapters:

- I3D3400/3410

- I3D3510

- I3D4000

- I3D4105

See MANIFEST.TXT for a list of delivered files.

Please refer to the installation documentation provided with the media

supplied with your system.

If you are trying to load an updated driver from the Intense3D web site,

please do the following:

1. Save the self-extracting .zip file to a temporary directory on the

system hard drive.

2. Double-click the self-extracting zip file to unzip the driver files.

These driver files are compressed and will be expanded during the

installation process.

WINDOWS 2000 PLUG AND PLAY

--------------------------

For driver installation and removal, refer to the Hardware section

of the Windows 2000 online help. This Help is generally available by

clicking on "Start" at the bottom left of the screen, and selecting the

help entry from the menu.

NOTE: During the installation, a dialog box will appear indicating that

another disk is needed. This will correspond to the installation

disks. Verify that the path in the entry line at the bottom of

the dialog box points to the location for the next disk and

select the option that will allow you to continue installation.

If you have downloaded an updated driver form the Intense3D web

site, enter the path corresponding to the Disk1, Disk2,...

folders created by the self-extracting zip file.

Unattended Installation Help

----------------------------

To install the Intense 3D Display driver as part of an unattended

installation of Windows 2000, execute the following steps.

1. Copy all driver files to a single directory in the $oem$\$1\ path of the

distribution directory (ex. d:\win2kdst\$oem$\$1\i3d).

2. Add the following sections to the unattend.txt file:

[Unattended]

OemPreinstall = yes

OemPnPDriversPath = "\i3d"

[Display]

BitsPerPel = 32

XResolution = 1024

YResolution = 768

VRefresh = 75

3. Execute the unattended installation.

NOTE: To bypass the digital signing check for a non WHQL version of the

driver, add the following entries to the unattend.txt file:

[SetupParams]

DriverSigningPolicy = Ignore

Automated Installation Help

---------------------------

NOTES: Make sure you have write permission on the target machine as the

automated installation will create temporary directories on its

hard drive.

1. Create an installation directory on your hard drive and then copy

all installation files into that directory. You may either create

a directory structure having a disk1, disk2, ... format or just

dump all files into the same directory.

2. Copy the contents of each installation disk to its corresponding

folder.

3. Modify the glz_inst.ini file to meet your specifications.

4. Run glz_inst.exe. This executable should be in the disk1 folder.

NOTE: If you are installing a non-digitally signed driver, a warning

dialog may appear to inform you that you are installing an

unsigned driver. To continue the installation, select the option

that will allow you to install the unsigned driver. Refer to the

Hardware section of the Windows 2000 online help for information

on non-signed drivers.
